Following the completion of this course, trainees should be able to identify the various considerations for optimizing flow rates when infusing viscous blood products. The course is composed of 2 main parts: 09:25 minutes training video followed by a 10-question competency quiz.
Prerequisite
This course is open for QinFlow customers (direct customers or customers of any of QinFlow’s trade partners) and end users. In addition, trainees shall complete the following prerequisites:
- Online in-service training (for any Warrior line product, as applicable)
- Review of the Instructions For Use (IFU)
Course Syllabus
Lesson 1: Assessing Low-Flow or No-Flow Situations (09:25 minutes)
Review of the key considerations related to optimizing flow rates. Topics covered in this lesson:
- Flow benchmark; i.e., what flow rate is realistic to expect when infusing viscous blood products
- Identification of possible “flow killers” in the setup from bag to patient in order to optimize the flow
- Review of possible flow acceleration methods (other than a pressure bag)
Final Step: Competency Test
Following the completion of the video, trainees need to take the competency quiz. To pass the quiz, trainees must correctly answer at least 8 out of 10 questions.
Completion Certificate
If success criteria is met; that is, trainee completes the video and answers correctly at least 8 out of the 10 competency quiz questions, a certificate will be available for download.
